Description

Der Hochwald-Ruwer-Radweg führt über knapp 50 km durch den Hunsrück. 

Sie fahren entlang einer alten Bahntrasse zwischen Hermeskeil im Hochwald bis nach Ruwer bei Trier. Der Weg führt Sie ausschließlich über asphaltierte Wege durch die waldreiche Landschaft des Hunsrücks. Bei Kell am See erreichen Sie das Flüsschen Ruwer, dass fortan Ihr ständiger Begleiter sein wird bis zur Mündung der Ruwer in die Mosel am Zielort Ruwer.

Von Ruwer aus erreichen Sie in wenigen Kilometern die älteste Stadt Deutschlands Trier mit zahlreichen Sehenswürdigkeiten wie der Porta Nigra. 

  • Als Anschlussweg können Sie auf dem Moselradweg weiterfahren.
  • Start der Tour ist der Bahnhof in Hermeskeil.
  • Der Weg führt nach einem hügeligen Beginn stets bergab, so dass die Strecke sehr schnell gefahren werden kann.
