A passion for wines.

Producing wines as naturally as possible is the basis of our philosophy.

Careful handling of the wine is Rule Number One for Hermann and Stephan Barth in the cellar. That is the way to keep the character, freshness and fruitiness typical of each of the grape varieties that go into their wines . Classic Rieslings, Rivaners and rosés are to be found on our wine list , as well as Burgundies and red wines, aged in barrique barrels too.

Three generations live and work on the estate: The grandmother of the family Franziska, the proprietors Hermann and Maria, and their sons Stephan and Thorsten with their partners.

Relax far away from workaday life....

its seating for up to 70 guests The estate wine-Tavern is open every weekend from Easter until middle of July and September until beginning of November.
Friday & Saturday from 6 pm
Sunday & Public Holidays from 5 pm

Ample country food and lighter dishes , accompanied by superior wines are served in unique surroundings. Why not spend the first days of autumn, relaxing by the tiled stove ? - with a meal of sucking-pig, onion tart and a glass of Federweisser wine.

Guests can use our large parking area right next to the estate.

Relax with us feeling "Herzlich Willkommen" (Cordially Welcome). Spend your vacation, holiday or an extended weekend in a delightful area.

Our Schmitt Inn/Bed & Breakfast offers exquisite hospitality. There are 7 double rooms with private bathroom, TV and telephone (2 rooms can be triple - adding another bed to sleep 3 persons each); there are 3 Suites with kitchenettes and living area which sleep 2-4 persons. The price of our regular rooms and suites include our expanded breakfast buffet.

The condominiums are nicely furnished and equipped with kitchen ware and linen. Our guests in the condominiums can take advantage of the expanded breakfast buffet. Please let us know if you would like to add breakfast to your stay either at the time of booking or at check-in. Add: Sleeps 2-?? Persons.

We also welcome our smallest guest, please inquire about children discounts!
