Beyond delicious at Hermann Enkler’s
Champagne truffels, marzipan filled chocolats, light summer truffles with juicy maracuja flavour or ambrosial banana aroma … chocolats are the great passion of Hermann and Renate Enkler. In loving handiwork, the master confectioner creates 130 different kinds. And it is true: these small, incredibly luscious enticers are worth a small dietary transgression – actually, quite a big one. Sparkling chamagne in your glass and a box of the finest chocolats which are so very sweetly melting on your tongue … And then – spending a Sunday morning in bed, between wrinkled sheets. Snuggling up. Saying cheers. Nibbling chocolats. … Of course, there is cake as well, in the small, smoke-free café in Kirchheimbolanden in northern Rhineland-Palatinate. Cakes and Torte: Rum punch butter cream, chocolade cream, Cointreau torte with chocolate beans and a juicy marzipan mixture. Not meant for those who are not fond of their food, or those who count their calories, not at all. The Enklers draw on abundant resources. They celebrate the sweet life. Cream torte paradise.
