Nach steilem Anstieg, vom Schiltacher Marktplatz aus, erreicht man nach ca. 1 Stunde den Schwenkenhof. Auf einer aussichtsreichen Halbhöhenlage erreicht man über Höfenhof und Rotlach den Rohr-bachhof. Danach geht es wieder abwärts über den Rohrbachgrund bis zum Welschdorf. Von dort aus gelangt man entlang der Schiltach wieder zurück zum Ausgangspunkt Schiltach. Eine Rückfahrt mit dem Bus ab Welschdorf ist ebenfalls möglich. Unterwegs gibt es zahlreiche Einkehrmöglichkeiten bei den typischen Bergvesperstuben.
