Im Jahre 1911 entdeckten 2 Erzenhausener Bürger am Westhang des Rautenart das Mundloch eines Stollens, als sie eine dort austretende Wasserader fassen wollten. Es eröffnete sich ihnen ein etwa 1,80 m hoher Stollen von insgesamt 76 m Länge. Der Fund war eine Sensation und gab Stoff für zahlreiche Spekulationen. Das Erstaunlichste an dem Stollen waren die vielen, ca. 20 cm langen und 1 bis 1,5 cm dicken Tropfsteine (Stalaktiten), die sich während der knapp 200 Jahre seit dem Anlegen des Stollens an der Decke gebildet hatten.
Die "Tropfsteinhöhle" ist von Ende April bis Ende September geöffnet. Für eine Besichtigung ist eine Taschenlampe und festes, wasserdichtes Schuhwerk unbedingt erforderlich. In den Herbst- und Wintermonaten ist die Höhle geschlossen und bietet zahlreichen Fledermäusen einen Unterschlupf zum Überwintern.
