You walk through six different Nature Area regions: The Nature Park Rhein Westerwald, Nature Park Rhein-Westerwald/Wiedtal, Kroppacher Schweiz, Altenkirchener Westerwald, the Highlands Westerwald/ Wiesensee and the Hessischen Westerwald.
They invite you to explore this unspoilt nature with its regions and cultural and historical sight-seeing places. The traveller can go back in time and visit palaces, castles and monasteries, also while strolling along viewing ancient sites of cities and villages.
The Westerwald-Steig calls to visitors who want to explore an unspoilt nature. There are walking trails for all where pure countryside sets the scene for your pleasure and excitement. Every step you take on the Westerwald-Steig is a real experience of pleasure and the most fascinating destinations are just waiting for you.
