You walk through six different Nature Area regions: The Nature Park Rhein Westerwald, Nature Park Rhein-Westerwald/Wiedtal, Kroppacher Schweiz, Altenkirchener Westerwald, the Highlands Westerwald/ Wiesensee and the Hessischen Westerwald.
They invite you to explore this unspoilt nature with its regions and cultural and historical sight-seeing places. The traveller can go back in time and visit palaces, castles and monasteries, also while strolling along viewing ancient sites of cities and villages.
The Westerwald-Steig calls to visitors who want to explore an unspoilt nature. There are walking trails for all where pure countryside sets the scene for your pleasure and excitement.
